Microneedling

Microneedling is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve overall skin texture, tone, and elasticity by stimulating the skin’s natural collagen and elastin production. Using a specialised device with fine, controlled micro-needles, the treatment creates tiny microchannels in the skin, triggering a natural healing response that encourages fresh, healthy skin regeneration.

This treatment is highly effective for improving the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, and overall dull or tired-looking skin. It also enhances the absorption of skincare products, allowing active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin for improved results.

Each microneedling session is tailored to your individual skin concerns and goals, ensuring a safe, effective, and results-driven approach. The treatment is suitable for most skin types and can be performed on the face, neck, and selected body areas depending on concern areas.

Results continue to improve over time as collagen production is stimulated, with optimal results typically achieved through a course of treatments. Mild redness and sensitivity may occur immediately after treatment, similar to a light sunburn, but usually subsides within 24–72 hours.

With consistent treatments and proper skincare, microneedling helps to reveal smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin over time.

Aftercare Instructions for Microneedling:

To ensure optimal healing and the best possible results from your microneedling treatment, proper aftercare is essential as your skin will be temporarily more sensitive and actively repairing itself.

Immediately after treatment, it is normal to experience redness, warmth, tightness, and a mild sunburn-like sensation. This typically settles within 24–72 hours depending on skin sensitivity and treatment depth.

For the first 24–48 hours, please avoid:

  • Sun exposure and tanning beds
  • Swimming pools, salt water, saunas, and steam rooms
  • Excessive sweating or strenuous exercise
  • Makeup and skincare products on the treated area (unless specifically advised)
  • Active ingredients such as Vitamin A/Retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and strong exfoliants

Keep the skin clean and only use gentle, hydrating products recommended by your therapist. A mild cleanser and soothing moisturiser or serum may be advised to support healing and hydration.

Do not touch, scratch, or pick at the skin while it is healing, as this may increase irritation and affect results. Allow the skin to naturally repair and regenerate.

It is extremely important to protect the skin from direct sun exposure. A broad-spectrum SPF should be applied daily once the skin is no longer sensitive or raw, usually after 24–48 hours.

Light peeling or dryness may occur a few days after treatment as the skin renews itself. This is a normal part of the healing process and should not be disturbed.

For best results, a course of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin concerns, as collagen production improves gradually over time.

With correct aftercare, your skin will become smoother, clearer, and more radiant as it continues to heal and regenerate.
